Yup, dog gone!
Harley climbed underneath a backyard fence in his Beaumont home last July.
His human family, the Valdivias, were understandably upset. Their then three-year-old was nowhere to be seen.
The family posted flyers, put up missing posters, perused on line ads, searched animal shelters. And they got nothing.
And, as they told KCAL9’s Greg Mills, they gave up hope that Harley would some day walk back through their front door.
He came back today. With a little help of another human being, of course.
A remarkable twist of fate brought Harley home.
It was a traffic accident, no less. A man who took Harley in was involved in a serious car accident in mid-May.
A good Samaritan bought the dog to Riverside Animal Services. Just yesterday, Jeana Valdivia decided to check out a Beaumont site that mentions missing and found dogs in Riverside County.
Call if a happy tail, uh, tale!
Harley’s human mom calls his return “A miracle…it’s a miracle.”
Harley won’t go missing again. And if he should…he’s now been micro-chipped.
