BEAUMONT (CBSLA.com) — Officials said a 69-year-old woman was killed Saturday when she was struck by a big rig on the I-10 in Beaumont.
The accident happened about 11 a.m. on the eastbound side of the freeway, just east of Pennsylvania Avenue, according to the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.
The deceased was identified as Pok McLeod of Banning.
It is unclear why McLeod was walking on the freeway.
She was pronounced dead at 11:48 a.m. at Riverside County Regional Medical Center.
